New Music: 50 Cent - 'New Day'
Rapper Curtis James Jackson III aka 50 Cent may be gearing up to release his fifth studio album "Street King Immortal" this Fall but the first single is already out in the form of "New Day", a track featuring Alicia Keys and Dr Dre which world premiered via NYC's Hot97 on Friday (July 27)...Listen above!
50 is one lazy dude! So he basically said, 'hey Alicia!, if you won't be using this new song of yours "New Day" as single, can I borrow the beat, and sample a few of your parts to create me a new single with Dre?'...'ok, thank you mama!'. LOL. 50's new single should be considered more of a remix to the Alicia Keys original. Remember the R&B diva released back in June "New Day" as a 'taste' of new music from her upcoming album. I'm personally not feeling 50 Cent anymore...he was born and died for me in 2003. He should've retired after releasing "Get Rich or Die Tryin", lol. No new album of him will top that ever. As for his new "New Day" single, he'll be lucky if it becomes a Hot 100 hit in the US, and if it does, props should go only to Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz for singing the best parts, and producing the song, respectively.
