Ciara Consolidates Comeback With Summer Bop "Freak Me": Listen
Count me in the list of people that thought Ciara was never going to make a comeback again. But she IS making one!!! I’m honestly mind-blown.
Following the unexpected success of “Level Up”, Ciara just dropped another new song today called “Freak Me” featuring Nigerian rapper Tekno. And let me just say this real quick, THE SONG IS A BOP AND IS EVERYTHING!
I personally wasn’t that much of a fan of “Level Up” at the beginning but the music video was amazing and it made the song grow on me a lot. But “Freak Me” is an INSTANT. I loved this on the first listen and I hope Ciara shoot a music video for this as well because if she recreates at least a little of what I’m imagining in my mind, I know for a fact the SLAYAGE will be real.
“Freak Me” is different to “Level Up” in the sense the newer song has more of a Caribbean vibe, Tekno’s rapping style (I thought he was Jamaican until I looked him up on Wikipedia) fits the song to perfection, the lyrics are so sexy I love, and “Freak Me” is simply a bop. A summer bop!
