Zara Larsson - "So Good": Music Video Premiere!
It’s official. The music video for Zara Larsson’s newest single “So Good” is here. Is it “so good”? Well, it’s so-so.
The Rihanna-circa-2006-esque pop-R&B song, which will appear on the Swedish singer’s forthcoming international debut album when released later in 2017 via Epic Records, is cute, radio-friendly, but, in my humble opinion, Zara’s weakest and strangely most "subdued" single to date. But part of me thinks that this more than being a Zara decision, is a decision of L.A Reid, who wanted to “sweeten” Zara’s sound in order to make it more likable, perhaps, to the American audience. But this was a mistake, this is how I view it. “Lush Life” should be the pattern for all Zara Larsson songs. Bangers are her forte.
As for the newly-premiered “So Good” music video, it is glitter-filled, flowers-filled and sassiness-filled. It is a fun clip but not something to watch more than once. Zara looks quite fierce in it, though. She is one beautiful Scandinavian lady. But PLEASE, chop off Ty Dolla Sign’s verse from the single edit… I hate his verse.
