Shakira Covers "Glamour" Magazine February 2014, Calls Rihanna Duet "A Utopia"
Colombian singer Shakira covers the February 2014 edition of "Glamour" magazine which hits newsstands across th US on January 14th. The 36-year-old, and mother of Milán Piqué, shows a great physique in the Nicolas Moore photoshoot. Check out photos!
In the interview inside the magazine, Shakira talks about;
Her boyfriend, F.C Barcelona star Gerard Piqué, "My man, Gerard, prefers meat over bones. He doesn’t like too skinny. That takes pressure off. I already have a lot to worry about. This month I’m not exercising because I have an album to finish and I have a baby. And I like these pastries in front of me".
Her career; "Success happened little by little for me. I tasted the flavor of fame in small doses: I started at 10 years old when I won a music contest; I was performing at birthday parties, company meetings. I met with a record executive when I was 13 and sang ‘Material Girl’ to a cassette-tape boom box. I’ve shaken hands at every radio station, from Honduras to Ryan Seacrest. One day [I realized I was famous] enough. But here’s the thing: I’m still hungry. But I’m not hungry for fame – just the need to prove myself that I can still do this".
Or working with Rihanna on her new single "Can't Remember To Forget"; "We’ve been keeping it under secret (the collaboration), but we just shot the video. I never thought we could come together – with me on The Voice; taking care of my baby, Milan; Rihanna touring. But working with her was utopia. She’s the cutest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we’re both basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher.".
"Can't Remember To Forget" will be released on iTunes on January 13th (next Monday), while Shakira returns to Season 5 of "The Voice" on February 26th.
