Rita Ora To Finally Score A Song On A “Fifty Shades” Soundtrack! ("Kiss Me")
Congratulations are in order for Rita Ora. She finally did it. She finally managed, after heavy fighting I'm sure, to get a song of hers on a "Fifty Shades" soundtrack; on the upcoming "Fifty Shades Darker" movie soundtrack to be more precise.
It was a shock when we found out that despite her role as Christian Grey's sister Mia on the first movie, 2015's "Fifty Shades of Grey", Rita wasn't asked to record an original song for that specific soundtrack. Then again, when I watched the movie I kind of understood why producers didn't ask her. Rita Ora literally had 8 seconds of screen time on the 2015 movie. With a role so minimal, it would have been "ridiculous" to ask her to appear on the soundtrack I assumed.
BUT, this year, on February 10th, 2017, the new "Fifty Shades" movie, "Fifty Shades Darker", will hit theaters worldwide; Rita is set to reprise her Mia role, and this time producers did ask the Kosovo singer to record a song! The new track is titled "Kiss Me" and it will appear...*drum rolls please*... on the "Target" special edition of the soundtrack ONLY! (lol). Oh my god. Why do producers hate her so much?
I'm getting the vibe that Rita is also going to get 8 seconds of screen time on "Fifty Shades Darker" and that she threatened producers to not reprise her role if she didn't have a song on the soundtrack of the sequel either. Producers agreed to her demands, not wanting to "mess" the film with an actress replacement, but only offered her a "Target bonus track" inclusion. Rita was ok with it.

I would be embarrassed (since I'm sure Rita considers her a "pop star")! And do you know what's worse? That Rita is PROMOTING her song "Kiss Me" on social media...
