Rebecca Ferguson Remains Classy In Firework-esque "I Hope" Music Video

Are Katy Perry and Dave Meyers going to knock on Rebecca Ferguson's door? Why, you ask? Because there seems to be quite a resemblance between the British soul songstress' recently-premiered "I Hope" music video and Katy's iconic MV for "Firework". Remember? The one where troubled people ignited their "inner fireworks"" to overcome their insecurities and fears. Well, either Rebecca Ferguson loved Katy's video treatment and thought it would fit her "I Hope" song, or the director of Rebecca's video has no imagination and decided to blatantly plagarise Dave Meyers' awesome idea. Watch, and you decide, below.

The budgets are the complete opposite. Katy had tens of thousands of dollars, and Becca, well, just a few pounds, or enough to borrow a fancy dress, rent a nice house with impressive sights of the city center, and a couple of extras, or Rebecca's "troubled people". Instead of fireworks, what these people ignite is their "inner fire" (produced by either good or bad energy). You can see their hearts burning up bright through flesh.

Don't care about the video much, though. It's not that engaging. Rebecca, though, looks absoutely flawless, and remains the classy lady she is. The brilliant, catchy and Adele-sounding (which in my book is good) "I Hope" is the lead single from her upcoming second album "Freedom", in stores December 2. Single is out November 24 in the UK.

"Firework" much or not?

For comparison...
