Mary J. Blige - "Right Now" [Music Video]
Were you expecting a real music video?Mary J. Blige pretends she’s writing and recording in the studio “Right Now” in its official music video - which premiered on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 7). The Sam Smith and Jimmy Napes co-written and Disclosure-produced electro R&B ballad “Right Now” is the lead UK single from Mary’s forthcoming album “The London Sessions”, in stores December 2.
“The London Sessions” is going to be a little R&B gem, isn't it? Love the fact Mary’s snagged Sam to work him with. Hopefully they'll finally record a proper collaboration soon. And the duet version they did of “Stay with Me” doesn’t count because that song was born as a solo Sam Smith song.
“Right Now” music video review
There’s not really much to say about it. A typical “I’m pretending I’m writing and recording my song” kind of video. I really dig "Right Now" so this cheap music video isn't really going to affect my thoughts on the song. I do like the facial expressions of Mary in the video, though. She really FEELS the song even though she's faking this whole thing.
