Kylie Minogue Performs 'Sexy Love' & 'Love at First Sight' on 'The Voice Australia'
Graceful queen Kylie Minogue delivered a solid
performance of a medley made of 'Sexy Love' and 'Love At First Sight' on the
latest live episode of 'The Voice Australia' on Monday, June 30. As you very
well know (right?), Kylie is one of the four coaches on the Australian edition
of the successful talent show.
Last week Coldplay performed on ‘The Voice Australia' and this week Kylie had the opportunity to plug her music. Not that
I have anything against her (in fact, I adore her), but wasn’t a bigger act
available – and in need of a huge promo outlet like 'The Voice' is - to be this
week's guest performer? Is The Voice’s ratings not that good in
The show host introduced 'Sexy Love' as Kylie's
'new song' but did he want to mean 'new single' too? Oh well, nothing matters
anymore when it comes to Kylie's 'Kiss Me Once' era. It's all been an utter
disaster. ‘Sexy Love’ is a very bubbly pop song, but I don’t think Kylie nor
her label should spend time and money promoting as the new single – if they are
indeed considering it as the new single – because you just know there aren’t
any songs on ‘Kiss Me Once’ with the capability to crack the Top 10 in any
country.
As for Kylie’ performance, it was classy, and semi-fierce. ‘Sexy Love’ sounds nice live, but 'Love At First Sight' definitely stole the show for me. This song is such a classic! And Kylie was GETTING HER LIFE from that heart-shaped confetti rain.
