Alicia Keys' New Song "That's What's Up" Is A Present For Fans: Listen!
Yesterday, January 25th, R&B diva Alicia Keys turned 36 and instead of waiting for fans to give her a present, she did opposite and gifted fans with a little something, something for their continuous support to her. That “something, something” was a brand new song called “That’s What’s Up”.
Besides unleashing the audio of the 3-minute song on SoundCloud, AK also premiered a little visual for “That’s What’s Up” through her Facebook and Twitter accounts. The vintage-ready music video sees Alicia pampering herself with a bubble bath and sipping some red wine.
As for the song, Ms. Keys literally shares her testimony over a sample of Kings of Tomorrow’s “So Alive,” which Kanye West sampled on his “The Life of Pablo” track “Low Lights”: “I wanna thank you Lord for all the love / Time after time, you lifted me up / Lord knows, you’ll never let me down / Now that’s what’s up”.
AMEN!
