2011 Brit Awards Launch Party - Performances!
The nominees for the 2011 edition of the Brit Awards were announced this past Thursday at a special event held at London's IndigO2 - Once unveiled all the contenders opting for each of the 13 categories, a mini-concert labeled the "Brit Awards Launch Party" took place afterwards at the same venue. ITV 2 taped this for us and aired it last night. UK rapper Tinie Tempah delivered the first live performance of his new single "Wonderman" alongside Ellie Goulding - Tinie is up to 4 Brit Awards including Best British Male Solo Artist, Best Breakthrough, Best Single and Best Album, Ellie is also in the "Best Breakthrough" group. Rising star Jessie J - already announced winner of the Critics' Choice Awards - performed her "Do It Like A Dude" at the IndigO2. It was a solid performance, but I just wished she would have sung the normal version with the cool beats and not the acoustic version. The crowd wanted some party! Nonetheless, Jessie showed her amazing vocal capacity. Finally, local boyband The Wanted performed their hit single "All Time Low". Not their best performance but the seems the crowd still loved them. The 2011 Brit Awards will take place on February 15th (two days after the Grammys) at London's O2 arena.
